Your Questions About Credit Tips Canada http://bit.ly/mVs7iw George asks…I am moveing from Alberta Canada to Weatherford Texas need move tips and getting credit built up fast..?Me and my family need tips on Taxes, insurance, obtaining credit in the USA,Credit-Repair-Guy answers:Boy are you in or culture shock. I imagine credit is much the same as in Canada, check your bank and credit monitoring companies on the web. You need to check with Canada but I think you can pay US taxes if you are to be here long enough. You'll (ya'll) need your visas for car insurance but your insurance co up there will probably cover you for 30 days or so. Your property taxes and home insurance may be higher than you are use to but the cost of living is lower even with the 8.25% state sales tax. We have no state income tax.Lisa asks…How do I get my first credit card at age 30?This question pertains to my sister actually who is 30 and has never had a credit card. She recently graduated with a BA so she is no longer a student and she is currently unemployed so there is no employer. She does have access to finances i.e. my parents, disability checks (she's deaf) etc. Would she be able to get a credit card here in Canada even if a small limit? Im currently 21, a student with no job but I have a gold Visa and a Mastercard, totalling almost 20k in credit limit so I dont see why its so hard for her to get one. Any tips?Credit-Repair-Guy answers:Also, a store credit card is easier to get than a "major" credit card. If there is a particular store she shops at, she can apply for one and she should get approved (without a co-signer). She should buy a few things and pay the amount off in full. After a few months, she will have established a credit history and can get a major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)Michael asks…moving out of parents house any advice or tips (CANADA)?hey guys, i am 19 years old and i'm ready to move from out of my parents house and was thinking of moving to vancouver i live in the u.s.a so i just wanted to know if there is any paper work and how does that really work.

thanksCredit-Repair-Guy answers:I'm looking to move out to Vancouver myself pretty soon (currently in California). I know there is a lot of paperwork and approval you need before you make the move. Also, have you decided if youre changing your citizenship or going for dual-citizenship (I think they have dual)? Last I checked you need to have a job already in place before you make the move. You can go to the government website and find out most things you need.
One thing to remember when moving anywhere is be prepared. Most people think of the main bills but forget the small stuff. (Cleaning supplies, food, laundry, etc that you need to spend money on very consistently.) Also, it helps to already know people - even if you prefer being alone most of the time anyway. I've had friends move out of state by themselves - not have many friends where their originally from - but hit depressions when they realize how alone they are.
Good luck and enjoy!!!Mandy asks…Can a Canadian get an American Credit Card?I live in Canada. Does anyone know whether if it's possible for me to have an American Credit card registered under an American address? I do have a U.S. postal box, but no U.S. bank account. If it is possible, can anyone provide me with any tips in getting a credit card?
It's mainly for online shopping. The problem arises when I provide the retailer with my credit card number but the billing address is Canadian. And a lot of sites can't take Canadian billing addresses.Credit-Repair-Guy answers:Do you want a US credit card just so you can shop in USD?

Most of the Canadian Banks have US dollar denominated credit products. I have one through mine. There will be a small annual fee in most cases, like $20.

Also if you deal in Canada with RBC, I'd seriously suggest you look at their RBC Centura operation. They have accounts specifically designed for Canadians who want US based bank accounts and credit products.Paul asks…Can someone please help me use E-bay? Do you need a credit card? How old do you have to be?I'm 17, a girl, living in Toronto Canada.
I'm intrested in buying some things off E-bay, but I need to know,

Do you need a credit card?
How old do you have to be?
How do you ship things you sell?
How do you receive the things you buy?
Is it safe?

And any other tips or information you might have for me ... please share!!!Credit-Repair-Guy answers:You have to be 18, since that's how old you have to be to own any credit card. You don't "need" a credit card, you can use a PayPal account, but you have to be 18 for that. Whenever you sell something, you'll get that person's address and just go to your post office and ship it. To receive, whenever you buy a product all you do is give your address and you'll receive it either in the mail at your house, or at your P.O. Box, choosing either one is just for personal preference. Its very safe. One very good tip is you want to buy from someone who has as close to 100% positive feedback. I myself, and countless other people I know, won't even by from someone with less that 99.3%, and even then we've had troubles. Be sure that when you look at a product, check all the feedback that the seller has received, there will be a link to do that under or around their username.Powered by Yahoo! Answers
